RESOLUTION NO. R99-1414

A resolution appropriating funds from increased revenue source to the Department of Metropolitan Police.

WHEREAS, additional funds in an amount not to exceed ninety-nine thousand, five hundred, fifty-nine dollars ($ 99,559.00), have been received during fiscal year 1998-1999 due to increased revenue derived from the United States Department of Justice for on-line education resources and support for law enforcement families; and

WHEREAS, program funds are to be used by the Department of the Metropolitan Police to provide law enforcement families on-line education and resource support; and

WHEREAS, it is desirable and in the best interest of the citizens of Metropolitan Nashville and Davidson County that an appropriation from this grant revenue be made to the Department of the Metropolitan Police fiscal year 1998-1999 operating budget so as to cover the expenses of this program.

Now, therefore be it resolved by the Council of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

SECTION 1. That the following sum is hereby appropriated from the General Fund of the General Services District to the account listed below which is an addition to those contained in the current operating budget:

SECTION 2. The above additional appropriation is to be funded from the following source:

SECTION 3. This resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government requiring it.
