RESOLUTION NO. R99-1396
A resolution appropriating sixty thousand dollars account to the Jury Pay and Jury Lunch accounts for certain operating expenses of the temporary criminal court.
Whereas, the judges of the Criminal Court have identified a need for an additional temporary criminal court to be established to assist in adjudicating pending criminal cases and to alleviate overcrowded conditions in the jails; and
Whereas, expenses in operating the temporary criminal court, including jury and witness personal costs and jury lunches, must be funded; and
Whereas, the Port Authority has declared certain funds to be surplus and the Metropolitan Council has determined that these surplus funds could best be used to defray the costs of operating a temporary criminal court.
Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Council of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:
Section 1. That the following sum is hereby appropriated from the Port Authority account to the account listed below:

Section 2. This resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare
