RESOLUTION NO. R99-1379

A resolution recognizing the 1998 Bellevue Steelers AA Football Team of the Mid-State Football League for their outstanding accomplishments.

WHEREAS, the Nashville Community was proud and honored this year as the Bellevue Steelers AA Football Team of the Mid-State Football League finished first place as the Division Champions and were Runner-Up for the City Championship; and

WHEREAS, the team had an impressive record of 9-2 for the year; and

WHEREAS, this talented team was directed by Head Coach Ronnie Bolden, and Assistant Coaches Jim Ruderer, Jeff Hopkins, and Chris Shuff; and

WHEREAS, by their performance the players and coaches have brought recognition to the Metropolitan Government area for not only their athletic abilities, but for their exceptional team play, their sportsmanship, and their dedication; and

WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that the Metropolitan Council recognize the Bellevue Steelers AA Football Team be recognized for their outstanding accomplishments in 1998.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

SECTION 1. That the Metropolitan County Council hereby goes on record as recognizing the Bellevue Steelers AA Football Team for their outstanding accomplishments in 1998.

SECTION 2. That the Metropolitan Council Staff Office is hereby directed to prepare certificates to be presented to the coaches and to each member of the team.

SECTION 3. This Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
