RESOLUTION NO. R98-1370

A resolution appropriating the amount of $ 3,021,900 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of equipment, and for making repairs to buildings for various departments of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County.

Be it resolved by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 350,000 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of hospital equipment, medical equipment, office equipment and office furniture, hospital furniture, computer equipment, video equipment, dietary equipment, lawn equipment and cleaning equipment for Bordeaux Hospital.

Section 2: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 166,200 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of computer and imaging equipment, office furniture, office equipment and renovate archives area for shelving for Clerk & Master.

Section 3: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 105,000 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of office equipment, computer equipment and office furnishings for Codes Administration.

Section 4: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 200,000 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of building repairs for General Services.

Section 5: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 32,000 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of video equipment and computer equipment for Government Access.

Section 6: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 15,000 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of audiovisual equipment for Human Relations.

Section 7: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 200,000 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of computer equipment and building renovation for Justice Information System.

Section 8: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 245,000 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of building repairs, computer equipment, office furniture, office equipment, enforcement equipment, communications equipment, tools and audiovisual equipment for Juvenile Court.

Section 9: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 100,000 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of law books and computer equipment for Legal.

Section 10: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 300,000 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of library books for Libraries.

Section 11: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 30,000 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of disaster equipment for Mayors Office-Emergency Management.

Section 12: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 50,000 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of building renovation at East Headstart Center for Metro Action Commission.

Section 13: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 125,000 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of dome renovation for Municipal Auditorium.

Section 14: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 410,000 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of office furniture, building repairs, telephone system, lighting equipment, skating equipment, playground equipment, lighting/fencing equipment for Parks.

Section 15: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 150,000 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of GIS inquiry stations for Planning.

Section 16: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 93,700 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of carpet, building renovation, office equipment and office furniture for Public Defender.

Section 17: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 450,000 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of trucks and related equipment for Public Works.

Section 18: As required by Ordinance No. 086-1534, information justifying the appropriations is set forth in the "General Fund Reserve Fund (4% Fund) Information Sheets" attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.

Section 19: Where applicable, the Purchasing Agent shall procure the equipment or repairs specified in the attachments in accordance with the established purchasing procedures.

Section 20: The Director of Finance may schedule acquisitions authorized herein so as to ensure an appropriate balance in the Fund.

Section 21: This resolution shall take effect from and after its passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
