RESOLUTION NO. R98-1337
A resolution approving a contract between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County acting by and through the Metropolitan Health Department and The National Healthcare for the Homeless Council (NHHC) for the provision of a part-time Metro employee to the NHHC for use as TennCare Shelter Enrollment Coordinator.
WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Health Department has agreed to provide The National Healthcare for the Homeless Council with a Health Department employee for up to twenty-four (24) hours per week to serve as the TennCare Shelter Coordinator; and,
WHEREAS, The National Healthcare for the Homeless Council has agreed to pay the Metropolitan Health Department 25,000.00 for this part-time employee; and,
WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this contract be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. That the contract by and between Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County acting by and through the Metropolitan Health Department and The National Healthcare for the Homeless Council (NHHC)for the provision of a part-time Metro employee to the NHHC for use as TennCare Shelter Enrollment Coordinator for the amount of Twenty-five Thousand Dollars (25,000.00) be approved and a copy of this contract is attached hereto and incorporated herein, and is hereby approved.
Section 2. That any amendments to this contract shall be approved by resolution by twenty-one (21) affirmative votes of the Metropolitan Council.
Section 3. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
