RESOLUTION NO. R98-1334

A resolution appropriating $35,000 of Community Development Block Grant funds for the Jefferson Street United Merchants Partnership, Inc. (JUMP).

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County is entitled to receive Community Development Block Grant funds from the Department of Housing and Urban Development; and

WHEREAS, the application for the 24^th year of the Community Development Block Grant Program as approved by Ordinance No. O97-995; and

WHEREAS, a portion of these funds in the amount of $35,000 has been recommended by the Citizens Advisory Committee to provide funds to JUMP for one year.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That $35,000 be appropriated to JUMP for one year.

Section 2. That this Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, Tennessee requiring it.
