RESOLUTION NO. R98-1328

A resolution requesting the Information Systems Department to report to the Council the status of Year 2000 compliance for Metropolitan Government.

WHEREAS, with the year 2000 now being less than fourteen months away; and

WHEREAS, Year 2000 compliance is vital to assure the continued computer operation of the various systems of Metropolitan Government; and

WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that the Information Systems Department report to the Council the status of Year 2000 Compliance for Metropolitan Government.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

SECTION 1. The Metropolitan County Council hereby goes on record as requesting the Information Systems Department to report to the Council the status of Year 2000 compliance for Metropolitan Government.

SECTION 2. The Director of Information Systems is requested to inform The Metropolitan Council of the status and/or the actions taken with the request of Year 2000 compliance for Metropolitan Government contained in Section One hereof, not later than thirty (30) days after the adoption of this Resolution.

SECTION 3. This Resolution shall take effect from and after its passage the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
