RESOLUTION NO. R98-1322
A resolution honoring the 1998 Bellevue Yankees Boys Baseball Team on winning the Babe Ruth State Tournament.
WHEREAS, the Bellevue Yankee Baseball Team consists of boys 14 years of age; and
WHEREAS, the team won the Babe Ruth State Tournament and have won for three consecutive years; and
WHEREAS, by their performance the players and coaches have brought recognition to the Metropolitan Government area, for not only their athletic abilities, but for their team play, their sportsmanship and their dedication; and
WHEREAS, the team was led by Manager Tommy Lynch and Coach Tom Nichting, Coach Mark Breedlove and Coach Andy Ruderer; and
WHEREAS, the players consists of Dylan Lynch, John O'Rourke, Drew Rosedale, Michael Levine, Ryan Nichting, Michael Spore, Randy Howington, Matthew Pace, Ryan Ruderer, Brian Breedlove, Brad Sisk, Will Myers, Paul Nealy and Alex Sharpe, and Bat Boy Ross Ruderer; and
WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that the Metropolitan Council honor the Bellevue Yankees Baseball Team.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. That the Metropolitan County Council hereby goes on record as honoring the 1998 Bellevue Yankees Boys Baseball Team.
Section 2. That the Metropolitan Council Staff Office is hereby directed to prepare certificates to be presented to the coaching staff, bat boy and to each member of the team.
Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
