RESOLUTION NO. R98-1313
A resolution accepting $5,945.00 in compromise and settlement of the Metropolitan Government's claim against Ambulance Service, Inc.
Whereas, on July 28, 1998, an employee of Ambulance Service, Inc., operating a vehicle owned by Ambulance Service, Inc., was responsible for a vehicular accident that caused damage to a vehicle owned by the Metropolitan Government that was being operated by Officer Freddie Stromatt; and,
Whereas, after investigation, the Department of Law believes that the settlement listed in Section 1 is fair and reasonable, and recommends that the claim be compromised and settled in the amount of $5,945.00 and that these funds be deposited into the U.S.D. General Fund.
Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:
Section 1: The Metropolitan Department of Law is authorized to accept the amount of $5,945.00 in compromise and settlement of its claim against Ambulance Service, Inc.
Section 2: This Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
