A resolution appropriating $53,000 in Community Development Block Grant funds for architectural and construction related services for a new Boys and Girls Club center in North Nashville.

WHEREAS, application for the Twenty-Fourth Year of the Community Development Block Grant Program was approved by Ordinance No. 097-995; and

WHEREAS, the application for the Twenty-Fourth Year included funds for community development neighborhood activities; and

WHEREAS, youth activities and facilities housing those activities are important and critical components in neighborhood revitalization; and

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That $53,000 of Community Development Block Grant funds are hereby appropriated for architectural and construction related services for a new Boys and Girls Club center in North Nashville.

Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its enactment, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
