Resolution No. R98-1300

A resolution accepting $7,697.24 in compromise and settlement of the Metropolitan Government's claim against William L. Peck.

Whereas, on August 7, 1996, William L. Peck, was responsible for a vehicular accident that caused damage to a traffic signal light and a fire hydrant owned by the Metropolitan Government; and,

Whereas, after investigation, the Department of Law believes that the settlement listed in Section 1 is fair and reasonable, and recommends that the claim be compromised and settled in the amount of $7,697.24 and that these funds be deposited into the U.S.D. General Fund.

Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1: The Metropolitan Department of Law is authorized to accept the amount of $7,697.24 in compromise and settlement of its claim against William L. Peck.

Section 2: This Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
