Resolution No. R98-1297

A resolution ratifying the acceptance of a proposal to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County from the State of Tennessee, Department of Transportation relating to Project No. 19084-2210-54, improvements of the Intersection of SR-255, Harding Place and SR-11, Nolensville Road.

WHEREAS, The Department of Transportation of the State of Tennessee, has tentatively allocated certain funds for the construction of a project in the area of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, Tennessee, known and described as follows:

PROJECT NO. 19084-2210-54

Intersection of SR-255, Harding Place

and SR-11, Nolensville Road

WHEREAS, Ordinance No. O97-695 authorized the acceptance of a proposal to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County from State of Tennessee, Department of Transportation for improvements to the intersection of S SR-255, Harding Place and SR-11, Nolensville Road; and,

WHEREAS, Ordinance No. O97-695 states that any and all additional documents between the State of Tennessee, Department of Transportation and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County must be ratified by Resolution by the Metropolitan County Council;

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

SECTION 1. The proposal submitted by the Department of Transportation of the State of Tennessee to the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County to construct in the area of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County Project No. 19084-2210-54, (improvement of intersection of SR-255, Harding Place and SR-11, Nolensville Road) is hereby accepted by the Metropolitan Government. The said proposal is attached hereto and made a part thereof the same as though copied herein.

SECTION 2. That this Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
