Resolution No. R98-1296

A resolution amending a contract between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County and the State of Tennessee, Department of Transportation for improvement to the intersection of Old Hickory Blvd. (SR-45) and Gallatin Road (SR-6).

WHEREAS, on January 21, 1997, the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County and the State of Tennessee, Department of Transportation, entered into Contract 129-96 providing for improvements to the interesection of SR-45, Old Hickory Blvd. and SR-6, Gallatin Road; and

WHEREAS, Ordinance No. O96-581 approved said contract and provided that amendments thereto must be approved by resolution of the Metropolitan Council; and

WHEREAS, the Transportation Improvement Program for the Nashville Metropolitan Planning Organization contains a change in the funding of said project; and

WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Metropolitan Government and the State of Tennessee to amend Contract 129-96 to reflect this change in funding and to add standard provisions not included in Contract 129-96,

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

SECTION 1. The amendment submitted by the State of Tennessee, Department of Transportation to reflect a change in funding and to add standard provisions to Contract 129-96is hereby accepted by the Metropolitan Government. The said proposal is attached hereto and made a part thereof the same as though copied herein.

SECTION 2. That this Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
