A resolution approving a letter of agreement concerning the appropriation of funds from the State of Tennessee, department of finance and administration, to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, through the Department of Parks and Recreation for the benefit of Red Caboose Park in Bellevue.

Whereas, pursuant to the terms and conditions stated in Section 12, of the 1998 State Appropriations Act, the State of Tennessee, department of finance and administration has appropriated funds to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting through the Department of Parks and Recreation to be used solely for improvements to the Red Caboose Park in Bellevue; and

Whereas, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this letter of agreement be approved and the funds be appropriated to the stated departments for the sole purpose of Red Caboose Park in Bellevue.

Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson county:

Section 1. That the letter agreement from the State of Tennessee concerning the appropriation of three thousand five hundred dollars ($3,500) to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting through the Department of Parks and Recreation, to be used solely for the improvements to the Red Caboose Park in Bellevue, is hereby approved.

Section 2. That the Metropolitan Council hereby appropriates three thousand five dollars ($3,500) to the Department of Parks and Recreation to be used solely for improvements to the Red Caboose Park in Bellevue.

Section 3. That this Resolution shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
