A resolution approving an amendment to the scope of services in a grant from the State of Tennessee, Department of Health, to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County through the Metropolitan Health Department for the provision of HIV/AIDS prevention and surveillance services. 

Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1. That the grant approved by the Metropolitan Council by resolution R97-968 be amended by increasing the scope of services to include cooperation between the Metropolitan Health Department and the Tennessee Health Department, cooperation and contact with providers of HIV/AIDS services, epidemiologic investigations by the Metropolitan Health Department, and provision of information by the Metropolitan Health Department to health care officials regarding epidemiological statistics and reporting and other similar additions as set out in amendment no. 2 which is attached hereto and made a part of this resolution and Grant No. Z-98-086646-00, is hereby approved.

Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
