A resolution appropriating forty thousand dollars ($40,000) from the disaster assistance grant from the State of Tennessee, Department of Military, to the Nashville Office of Emergency Management for preparation of a disaster recovery plan.

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council has approved, on second reading, Substitute Ordinance No. O98-1329, which approves a grant from the State of Tennessee, Department of Military, Tennessee Emergency Management in the amount of six million, eight hundred thousand, seven hundred fifty-eight dollars ($6,800,758); and

WHEREAS, the grant agreement authorizes an amount not to exceed seventy-four thousand, eight hundred and three dollars ($74,803) to be used by the grantee to reimburse administrative costs associated with tornado recovery; and

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council desires to appropriate forty thousand dollars ($40,000) from the disaster assistance grant to the Office of Emergency Management for preparation of a disaster recovery plan.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1: That the sum of forty thousand dollars ($40,000) is hereby appropriated from proceeds of the grant approved by Substitute Bill No. O98-1329 to Fund 10101, Business Unit No. 04103010 (Office of Emergency Management) to be used for the development of a disaster recovery plan.

Section 2. This Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
