RESOLUTION NO. R98-1275

A resolution appropriating $90,000 in Community Development Block Grant funds for improvements to Joy Park in the Highland Heights Neighborhood Strategy Area.

WHEREAS, applications for the twenty-first, twenty-second, twenty-third and twenty-fourth years of the Community Development Block Grant program were approved by the Metropolitan Council through Ordinance Nos. O94-1257, 095-77, 096-541 and 097-995; and

WHEREAS, the applications for the twenty-first, twenty-second, twenty-third and twenty-fourth years included funds allocated to the Highland Heights Neighborhood Strategy Area; and

WHEREAS, a portion of these funds in the amount of $90,000 has been recommended by the Citizen Advisory Committee to be used for improvements to Joy Park.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

SECTION 1. That $90,000 in Community Development Block Grant funds allocated to the Highland Heights Neighborhood Strategy Area be appropriated for improvements to Joy Park.

SECTION 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its enactment, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
