WHEREAS, application for the Twenty-Fourth Year of the Community Development Block Grant Program was approved by Ordinance No. 097-995; and

WHEREAS, the application for the Twenty-Fourth Year included funds for the East Nashville Enterprise Community; and

WHEREAS, business and workforce development issues were identified as critical issues in the East Nashville Enterprise Community; and

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That $8,000 of Community Development Block Grant funds are hereby appropriated for a business workforce survey in the East Nashville Enterprise Community.

Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its enactment, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
