Resolution No. R98-1269

A resolution accepting $7,296.28 in compromise and settlement of the Metropolitan Government's claim against Patrick Conger.

Whereas, on July 14, 1997, a vehicle owned by the Metropolitan Government and being driven by Stephen Lewis, an employee of the Department of Police, was damaged when it was struck by a vehicle owned and being operated by Patrick Conger; and,

Whereas, after investigation, the Department of Law believes that the settlement listed in Section 1 is fair and reasonable, and recommends that the claim be compromised and settled in the amount of $7,296.28 and that these funds be deposited into the U.S.D. General Fund.

Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1: The Metropolitan Department of Law is authorized to accept the amount of $7,296.28 in compromise and settlement of its claim against Patrick Conger.

Section 2: This Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
