A resolution accepting $9,610.47 in compromise and settlement of the Metropolitan Government's claim against Alex Bright.

Whereas, on February 24, 1997, a vehicle owned by the Metropolitan Government and being driven by James Lane, an employee of the Department of Police, was damaged when it was in volved in an a vehicul;ar accident with a vehicle owned and being operated by Alex Bright; and,

Whereas, after investigation, the Department of Law believes that the settlement listed in Section 1 is fair and reasonable, and recommends that the claim be compromised and settled in the amount of $9,610.47 and that these funds be deposited into the U.S.D. General Fund.

Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1: The Metropolitan Department of Law is authorized to accept the amount of $9,610.47 in compromise and settlement of its claim against Alex Bright.

Section 2: This Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
