A resolution appropriating the amount of $ 2,318,178 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of equipment, and for making repairs to buildings for various departments of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County.

Be it resolved by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 7,410 from the

General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of computer equipment, office furniture and office equipment for Agriculture Extension.

Section 2: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 6,300 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of computer equipment and office equipment for Arts Commission.

Section 3: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 303,460 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of computer equipment and office equipment for Assessor of Property.

Section 4: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 40,000 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of building repair and computer equipment for Clerk and Master.

Section 5: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 19,381 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of computer equipment for Community Education Alliance.

Section 6: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 10,000 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of computer equipment for County Clerk.

Section 7: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 37,550 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of office equipment and office furniture for County Register.

Section 8: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 114,000 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of building renovations, office furniture and computer equipment for Criminal Court Clerk.

Section 9: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 69,300 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of computer equipment and office equipment for Employee Benefit Board.

Section 10: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 200,000 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of computer equipment for Finance.

Section 11: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 200,000 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of building repairs for General Services.

Section 12: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 120,000 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of computer equipment and building repair for General Sessions.

Section 13: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 20,550 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of signage equipment and historical markers for Historical Commission.

Section 14: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 155,000 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of computer equipment for Justice Information Systems.

Section 15: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 12,000 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of computer equipment and phone equipment for Juvenile Court Clerk.

Section 16: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 160,000 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of law books, Metro codes and computer equipment for Legal.

Section 17: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 100,000 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of books for Library.

Section 18: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 89,640 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of office furniture and computer equipment for Mayor’s Office – Emergency Management.

Section 19: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 5,000 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of computer equipment for Mayor's Office – Film and Events.

Section 20: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 43,000 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of office furniture and fixtures, office equipment and computer equipment for the Metro Clerk.

Section 21: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 110,000 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of lighting equipment and playground equipment for Parks.

Section 22: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 28,000 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of office furniture and service pins for Personnel.

Section 23: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 127,800 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of computer equipment and office equipment for Planning Commission.

Section 24: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 76,800 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of office furniture, phone system, office equipment and computer equipment for Public Defender.

Section 25: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 3,512 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of computer equipment for Soil and Water.

Section 26: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 240,000 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of building renovation, office furniture and office equipment, jury list and security equipment for State Trial Courts.

Section 27: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 8,575 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of office furniture, office equipment and computer equipment for Taxicab and Wrecker.

Section 28: There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 10,900 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of office equipment and computer equipment for Trustee.

Section 29: As required by Ordinance No. 086-1534, information justifying the appropriations is set forth in the "General Fund Reserve Fund (4% Fund) Information Sheets" attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.

Section 30: Where applicable, the Purchasing Agent shall procure the equipment or repairs specified in the attachments in accordance with the established purchasing procedures.

Section 31: The Director of Finance may schedule acquisitions authorized herein so as to ensure an appropriate balance in the Fund.

Section 32: This resolution shall take effect from and after its passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.

AMENDMENT NO. 1

TO

RESOLUTION NO. R98-1264

Mr. President:

I move to amend Resolution No. R98-1264 as follows:

By adding a new Section 29 as follows:

"SECTION 29. There is hereby appropriated the sum of $55,000 from the General Fund Reserve Fund to purchase and install new sports lighting on two (2) youth ballfields in Seven Oaks Park for Parks and Recreation."

By renumbering the present Sections 29 through 32 to become Sections 30 through 33;

By deleting the amount "$2,318,178" wherein it appears in the Caption, and substituting in lieu thereof the amount "2,373,178";

As required by Ordinance No. O86-1534, information justifying the appropriation is set forth in the "General Fund Reserve Fund (4% Fund) Information Sheet" attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.
