A resolution repealing Resolution No. R97-812, ratifying a grant contract by and between the State of Tennessee, Department of Human Services and the Metropolitan Government acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health, and approving Amendment No. 1 thereto. 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That R97-812 is repealed and the Grant Contract by and between the State of Tennessee, Department of Human Services and the Metropolitan Government acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health for the provision of Families First Employment Services for the term from July 1, 1997 to June 30, 1998, in an amount not to exceed $75,000 is ratified.

Section 2. That said Grant be amended by approval of Amendment Number One to the Grant Contract by and between the State of Tennessee, Department of Human Services and the Metropolitan Government acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Health for the provision of the Families First Employment Services, which amendment increases the grant amount from Seventy-five Thousand Dollars ($75,000.00) to Ninety-three Thousand Seven Hundred Fifty Dollars ($93,750.00) and extends the term of the grant from June 30, 1998 to September 30, 1998.

Section 3. That this Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
