RESOLUTION NO. R98-1256
A resolution memorializing the efforts of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, Department of Fire to gain accreditation.
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County Department of Fire has the honorable goal of achieving institutional accreditation by the Commission on Fire Accreditation International; and,
WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County Department of Fire has developed a self-evaluation program and drafted a Master Plan, both necessary elements of accreditation.
Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:
Section 1. That the Council of the Metropolitan Government hereby goes on record as recognizing that the accreditation process has begun by the Nashville Fire Department.
Section 2. That the Council of the Metropolitan Government hereby goes on record as recognizing that the Nashville Fire Department has drafted and compiled a Master Plan for the purpose of achieving accreditation.
Section 3. That the Council of the Metropolitan Government is fully in support of the efforts of the Department of Fire of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County to achieve accreditation.
