RESOLUTION NO. R98-1241

A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING $8,137.07 IN COMPROMISE AND SETTLEMENT OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT'S CLAIM AGAINST 31W INSULATION (NAPA).

WHEREAS, on April 16, 1998, the driver of a vehicle owned by 31W Insulation (NAPA) was responsible for a vehicular accident that caused damage to a motor vehicle owned by the Metropolitan Government; and,

WHEREAS, after investigation, the Department of Law believes that the settlement listed in Section 1 is fair and reasonable, and recommends that the claim be compromised and settled in the amount of $8,137.07 and that these funds be deposited into the U.S.D. General Fund.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

SECTION 1: The Metropolitan Department of Law is authorized to accept the amount of $8,137.07 in compromise and settlement of its claim against 31 W Insulation (NAPA).

SECTION 2: This Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
