RESOLUTION NO. R98-1217

A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING $7,084.71 IN COMPROMISE AND SETTLEMENT OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT'S CLAIM AGAINST OMA WILSON.

WHEREAS, on April 23, 1998, Oma Wilson was involved in a vehicular accident with an automobile owned by the Metropolitan Government and being operated by Kristen Vanderkooi, causing property damage; and,

WHEREAS, after investigation, the Department of Law believes that the settlement listed in Section 1 is fair and reasonable, and recommends that the claim be compromised and settled in the amount of $7,084.71, and that these funds be deposited into Motor Pool Fund No. 1.139-311.67.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

SECTION 1: The Metropolitan Department of Law is authorized to accept the amount of $7,084.71 in compromise and settlement of its claim against Oma Wilson, and that said funds be deposited into Motor Pool Fund No. 1.139-311.67.

SECTION 2: This Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
