RESOLUTION NO. R98-1216

A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING $9,432.00 IN COMPROMISE AND SETTLEMENT OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT'S CLAIM AGAINST THOMPSON PLUMBING COMPANY.

WHEREAS, on November 24, 1997, employees of Thompson Plumbing Company were responsible for breaking a 15" sewer line at 4006 Lealand Lane; and,

WHEREAS, after investigation, the Department of Law believes that the settlement listed in Section 1 is fair and reasonable, and recommends that the claim be compromised and settled in the amount of $9,432.00, and that these funds be deposited into Water Services Revenue Fund 2.311, Account No. 104.03.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

SECTION 1: The Metropolitan Department of Law is authorized to accept the amount of $9,432.00 in compromise and settlement of its claim against Thompson Plumbing Company, and that said funds be deposited into Water Services Revenue Fund 2.311, Account No. 104.03.

SECTION 2: This Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
