ADOPTED 07/21/1998

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Government has entered into a lease with Pitney Bowes for copiers for the Metropolitan Police Department (copy attached hereto); and,

WHEREAS, Metropolitan Code of Laws Section 5.04.020, which applies to all departments, boards, commissions and agencies, provides that all leases for equipment shall be approved by resolution of the Metropolitan Council if the annual expenditure for said lease exceeds fifteen hundred dollars ($1,500.00) per year; and,

WHEREAS, the annual expenditure to lease said copiers exceeds fifteen hundred dollars ($1,500.00) per year; and,

WHEREAS, it is deemed to be in the best interest of the Metropolitan Government to approve said contract.

SECTION 1. That the contract for the lease of copiers between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County on behalf of Metropolitan Police Department and Pitney Bowes Corporation, (copy attached hereto and incorporated herein), at the annual lease cost of Eighty Four Thousand Forty eight Dollars ($84,048) is hereby granted.

SECTION 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
