RESOLUTION NO. R98-1175
A RESOLUTION APPROPRIATING THE AMOUNT OF $3,249,400 FROM THE GENERAL FUND RESERVE FUND FOR THE PURCHASE OF EQUIPMENT, AND FOR MAKING REPAIRS TO BUILDINGS FOR VARIOUS DEPARTMENTS OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 150,000 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of modular furniture, install lektrievers and computer equipment for Circuit Court Clerk.
SECTION 2. There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 53,000 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of training equipment and computer equipment for Election Commission.
SECTION 3. There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 20,100 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of computer equipment for Employee Benefit Board.
SECTION 4. There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 250,000 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of computer equipment, office equipment and office furniture for Finance Department.
SECTION 5. There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 200,000 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of building renovations and repair for General Services.
SECTION 6. There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 77,000 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of building renovations, carpeting, HVAC and sprinkler modifications, card key modifications, office furniture and office equipment for General Sessions.
SECTION 7. There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 40,000 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of law books, office furniture, office equipment and building renovations for Legal.
SECTION 8. There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 500,000 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of books, Pruitt maintenance equipment and Pruitt computer equipment for Libraries.
SECTION 9. There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 355,000 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of telephone system, vehicles, sportsplex equipment, building repairs, and repair to sportsplex swimming pools for Parks.
SECTION 10. There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 321,500 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of systems furniture, building renovation for Lindsley Hall, refrigerator and furniture for break/lunch room for Planning.
SECTION 11. There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 200,000 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of furniture and office equipment, computer equipment, communications equipment and AFIS network equipment for Police.
SECTION 12. There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 604,000 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of vehicles, concrete mixer and machine, cleaning equipment, mowers, survey equipment, signal equipment and computer equipment for Public Works.
SECTION 13. There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 300,000 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of vehicles, building renovations, communications equipment, cameras, safe, laundry equipment, office furnishing and HVAC for Sheriff.
SECTION 14. There is hereby appropriated the sum of $ 98,800 from the General Fund Reserve Fund for the purchase of computer workstation, furniture, medical equipment, vehicles, lawn equipment, kitchen equipment and cleaning equipment for Social Services.
SECTION 15. As required by Ordinance No. 086-1534, information justifying the appropriations is set forth in the "General Fund Reserve Fund (4% Fund) Information Sheets" attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.
SECTION 16. Where applicable, the Purchasing Agent shall procure the equipment or repairs specified in the attachments in accordance with the established purchasing procedures.
SECTION 17. The Director of Finance may schedule acquisitions authorized herein so as to ensure an appropriate balance in the Fund.
SECTION 18. This Resolution shall take effect from and after its passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
