RESOLUTION NO. R98-1173
A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE RENEWAL OF A GRANT CONTRACT BY AND BETWEEN THE STATE OF TENNESSEE, DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT BY AND THROUGH THE BOARD OF HEALTH FOR HEALTH AND SANITARY INSPECTION SERVICES FOR HOTELS, FOOD SERVICE ESTABLISHMENTS, SWIMMING POOLS, AND BED AND BREAKFAST ESTABLISHMENTS.
WHEREAS, a grant exists between the State of Tennessee, Department of Health and the Metropolitan Government; and
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Board of Health has agreed to perform services regarding the inspection of hotel, food service establishments, swimming pools and bed and breakfast establishments; and
WHEREAS, the original grant term expires with the term of the renewal beginning July 1, 1998 and extending through June 30, 2000; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the Metropolitan Government that the grant be renewed.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
SECTION 1. That the grant between the State of Tennessee, Department of Health and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Department of Health services as outlined in the attached contract which incorporated herein be and the same is hereby approved.
SECTION 2. That this Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
