RESOLUTION NO. R98-1172

A RESOLUTION APPROPRIATING $14,000.00 FROM THE CLEAN AIR ACT RESERVE FUND FOR THE PURCHASE OF EQUIPMENT FOR THE AIR POLLUTION CONTROL DIVISION OF THE METROPOLITAN DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH.

WHEREAS, the 1995 Amendments to the Clean Air Act provided that regulatory activities for sources operating pursuant to Title V are to be funded by the fees charged for permits; and

WHEREAS, the same amendments required that excess fees collected be reserved and used for Title V; and

WHEREAS, the Air Pollution Control Division needs the telephone system replaced and an additional computer purchased, the cost of which is estimated to be $11,000 and $3,000 respectively;

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

SECTION 1. That the sum of $14,000 be appropriated from the Clean Air Act Reserved Fund, Account No. 101-172.22, with current reserve balance of $448,495, to the Air Pollution Control Division, Account No. 101.501.122, for the purchase of the described equipment.

SECTION 2. That this Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
