RESOLUTION NO. R98-1169

A RESOLUTION APPROPRIATING FUNDS FROM THE UNAPPROPRIATED FUND BALANCE OF THE GENERAL FUND OF THE GENERAL SERVICES DISTRICT TO THE DAVIDSON COUNTY JUVENILE COURT FOR JUVENILE COURT CASE SUPPORT SERVICES.

WHEREAS, Juvenile Court entered into an agreement with the State of Tennessee Department of Human Services in FY 1994-95, to provide case support services at a contracted rate per case; and

WHEREAS, Juvenile Court generated revenue by providing services under the contract and Metro Government was permitted to keep the funds accumulated but not expended; and

WHEREAS, the excess revenue closed to fund balance in the general fund at 6/30/95; and

WHEREAS, Juvenile Court wishes to use the excess funds to provide services to children and families; and,

WHEREAS, it is desirable to make an appropriation from this revenue to the departmental appropriation contained in FY 1998-99 operating budget.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

SECTION 1. That the following sum is hereby appropriated from the General Fund Unappropriated Fund Balance to the Juvenile Court account listed below which is in addition to those contained in the current operating budget:
