A RESOLUTION APPROPRIATING FUNDS FROM INCREASED REVENUE SOURCE
TO THE METROPOLITAN HEALTH DEPARTMENT BY TRANSFERING FUNDS FROM
THE METROPOLITAN BOARD OF EDUCATION
WHEREAS,
under state law, local boards of education are
required to provide certain medical services to designated students
by licensed medical personnel; and,
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Board of Education has allocated
funds for those services in its FY 98 budget and has determined
the best method to provide these services by using Metropolitan
Health Department personnel; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Education and the Health Department
have entered into a Memorandum of Agreement for these services;
and,
WHEREAS, it is necessary to make an additional appropriation
to the Health Department to pay for these services by transferring
funds from the Board of Education.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN
GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. That the following sum is hereby appropriated
from the General Fund of the General Services District to the
account listed below which is in addition to those contained in
the current operating budget:

Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect from
