A RESOLUTION APPROVING A GRANT, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $1,467,800, FROM THE STATE OF TENNESSEE, DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH, TO THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT, THROUGH THE METROPOLITAN HEALTH DEPARTMENT FOR THE PROVISION OF SUPPLEMENTAL NUTRITION PROGRAM SERVICES.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

SECTION 1. That the grant from the State of Tennessee, Department of Health, to the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County through the Metropolitan Health Department for the provision of supplemental nutrition program services, in an amount not to exceed $1,467,800, with an in-kind local match of benefits and administration services not to exceed $572,900, and for a term commencing on October 1, 1997, and extending through September 30, 1998, which grant is attached hereto and made a part of this Resolution, be and the same is approved and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.

SECTION 2. That this Resolution shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
