ORDINANCE BL2017-956
An ordinance authorizing The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County to abandon existing water main and to accept new water and sanitary sewer mains, sanitary sewer manholes, a fire hydrant and any associated easements, for properties located at 2998 Belwood Street and 215 31st Avenue North (MWS Project Nos. 16-SL-225 and 16-WL-205 and Proposal No. 2017M 062ES-001).
WHEREAS, the abandonment of approximately 275 linear feet of existing two and a quarter inch water main and the acceptance of approximately 275 linear feet of new six inch water main, 102 linear feet of new eight inch sanitary sewer main, two sanitary sewer manholes, a fire hydrant and any associated easements, for properties located at 2998 Belwood Street and 215 31st Avenue North, are needed to construct project numbers 16-SL-225 and 16-WL-205; and,
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Planning Commission approved mandatory referral No. 2017M-062ES-001 on October 4, 2017, for the abandonment and acceptance of said sanitary sewer and water mains, sanitary manholes, a fire hydrant and easements.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County is authorized to abandon approximately 275 linear feet of existing two and a quarter inch water main and to accept approximately 275 linear feet of new six inch water main, 102 linear feet of new eight inch sanitary sewer main, two sanitary sewer manholes, a fire hydrant and any associated easements, for properties located at 2998 Belwood Street and 215 31st Avenue North, as shown on Exhibit 1, which is attached hereto and incorporated by reference.

Section 2. The Directors of Water and Sewerage Services and Public Property Administration are authorized to execute such documents as may be necessary and appropriate to carry out the abandonment and acceptance authorized by this ordinance.
Section 3. Amendments to this legislation shall be approved by resolution.
Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
