ORDINANCE BL2017-879
An ordinance authorizing The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County to abandon existing combined sewer line and easements and to accept new combined sewer and water lines, combined sewer manholes, a fire hydrant and any associated easements for property located at 809 Main Street, (MWS Project No.17-WL-01 and 17-SL-01 and Proposal No. 2017M-055ES-001).
WHEREAS, the abandonment of approximately 34 linear feet of 24 inch combined sewer line and easements, and the acceptance of approximately 195 linear feet of new 24 inch combined sewer line, approximately 26 linear feet of new six inch water line, four combined sewer manholes, a fire hydrant and any associated easements, for property located at 809 Main Street, are needed to construct Project Nos. 17-WL-01 and 17-SL-01; and,
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Planning Commission approved mandatory referral No. 2017M-055ES-001 on July 20, 2017, for the abandonment and acceptance of said combined sewer and water lines, combined sewer manholes, fire hydrant and easements.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
Section 1. The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County is authorized to abandon approximately 34 linear feet of 24 inch combined sewer line and easements, and to accept approximately 195 linear feet of new 24 inch combined sewer line, approximately 26 linear feet of new six inch water line, four combined sewer manholes, a fire hydrant and any associated easements, for property located at 809 Main Street, as shown on Exhibit 1, which is attached hereto and incorporated by reference.

Section 2. The Directors of Water and Sewerage Services and Public Property Administration are authorized to execute such documents as may be necessary and appropriate to carry out the abandonment and acceptance authorized by this ordinance.
Section 3. Amendments to this legislation shall be approved by resolution.
Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
