ORDINANCE NO. BL2017-744

An ordinance approving a parking agreement between the Metropolitan Government, acting by and through the Metropolitan Traffic and Parking Commission (“Metro”), and Warner Music, Inc. (“Warner”), for the use of up to thirty five (35) parking spaces for a fee in the Library Parking Garage (Proposal No. 2017M-007PR-001).

WHEREAS, Metro and Warner desire to enter into a parking agreement (the “Agreement”) wherein Metro permits Warner to enter and use up to thirty five (35) parking spaces within the Library Parking Garage, located at 151 Sixth Avenue, Nashville, for the purpose of parking of passenger automobiles and/or light trucks; and,

WHEREAS, this Ordinance has been mandatorily referred to the Planning Commission pursuant to Section 11.505 of the Metropolitan Charter and has been assigned Proposal No. 2017M-007PR-001, which has been administratively reviewed and recommended for approval; and,

WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the Metropolitan Government to execute the Agreement.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That the Parking Agreement between the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Traffic and Parking Commission, and Warner Music, Inc., attached hereto, is hereby approved and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.

Section 2. That amendments to the Agreement shall be approved by resolution.

Section 3. This Ordinance shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
