ORDINANCE NO. BL2016-499

An ordinance authorizing the granting of temporary and permanent easements to Piedmont Natural Gas Co. on certain property owned by the Metropolitan Government (Tax Map 094-00-0 Parcels 029.00, 038.00 and 039.00 and Tax Map 094-10-0 Parcel 059.00) (Proposal No. 2016M-052ES-001).

WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County owns certain real property in Davidson County with addresses of 1214, 1422 and 1450 Lebanon Pike and 0-Omohundro Place, being located as approximately shown on Exhibit A; and,

WHEREAS, Piedmont Natural Gas Company has requested permanent and temporary easements across said property for the purposes of installing and maintaining a natural gas line; and,

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Planning Commission has approved the granting of said easements across the subject property.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. The granting of permanent and temporary easements to Piedmont Natural Gas Co. for the purpose of installing and maintaining a natural gas line (as described in the attached Exhibits B-1 through B-4) is hereby approved.

Section 2. The Director of Public Property Administration is authorized to grant said easements and to execute the necessary documents pertaining thereto.

Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
