ORDINANCE NO. BL2016-463

An ordinance to amend Chapter 16.24 of the Metropolitan Code pertaining to the definition of mulch.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That Section 16.24.330 of the Metropolitan Nashville and Davidson County Code is hereby amended by adding the following subsection:

R. Mulch, as used in this section, means any nonliving, organic, or synthetic material which is customarily used in landscape design to prevent erosion, regulate temperature, or maintain soil moisture.

Section 2. That this Ordinance shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
