ORDINANCE NO. BL2016-383

An Ordinance amending Chapter 7.08 of the Metropolitan Code pertaining to the definition of “school” for the purpose of obtaining a permit to sell beer.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. Title 7 of the Metropolitan Code, the Alcoholic Beverage Laws of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, is hereby amended by amending Section 7.08.010 by amending the definition of “school” by deleting the existing definition therein and substituting the following in lieu thereof:

"School" means a public or private daycare, preschool, kindergarten,
elementary, middle or high school.

Section 2. This Ordinance shall take effect from and after its enactment, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
