ORDINANCE NO. BL2016-350

An ordinance amending Title 17 of the Metropolitan Code, Zoning Regulations to delete “adult entertainment” as a use permitted through Overlay within MUI and MUI-A zoning districts (Proposal No. 2016Z-018TX-001).

WHEREAS, MUI and MUI-A zoning districts permit high density residential development; and

WHEREAS, high density residential development is not a use compatible with adult entertainment; and

WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper to remove adult entertainment as a use permitted within MUI and MUI-A zoning districts.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That Metropolitan Code of Laws section 17.08.030, District Land Use Tables, is hereby amended by deleting the land use “adult entertainment” as a use permitted by Overlay under “MUI and MUI-A”.

Section 2. Be it further enacted, that this ordinance take effect immediately after its passage and such change be published in a newspaper of general circulation, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
