ORDINANCE NO. BL2016-337

An ordinance authorizing The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County to abandon an existing sewer main and to accept new sewer main and two new manhole assemblies for property located at 1200 Jo Johnston Avenue (MWS Project16-SL-0090 and Proposal No. 2016M-026ES-001).

WHEREAS, the abandonment of approximately 115 linear feet of eight inch public sewer main and the acceptance of approximately 32 linear feet of eight inch PVC public sewer main and two manhole assemblies, for property located at 1200 Jo Johnston Avenue, are needed to construct project number 16-SL-0090; and,

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Planning Commission approved mandatory referral No. 2016M-026ES-001, on June 15, 2016, for the abandonment and acceptance of said sewer main and two new sewer manhole assemblies.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County is authorized to abandon approximately 115 linear feet of eight inch public sewer main and to accept approximately 32 linear feet of eight inch PVC public sewer main and two new manhole assemblies as shown below and on Exhibit 1, which is attached hereto and incorporated by reference:

Section 2. The Directors of Water and Sewerage Services and Public Property Administration are authorized to execute such documents as may be necessary and appropriate to carry out the abandonment and acceptance authorized by this ordinance.

Section 3. Amendments to this legislation shall be approved by resolution.

Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
