ORDINANCE NO. BL2016-333

An Ordinance authorizing The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County to accept a donation of $50,000 from Mapco Express, Inc., to aid in the modification of traffic signals at the intersection of Robinson Road and Merritt Street (Project No. 2016-R-32).

WHEREAS, Mapco Express, Inc. has offered to donate $50,000 to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County to aid in the modification of traffic signals at the intersection of Robinson Road and Merritt Street for Project No. 2016-R-32; and,

WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County to accept such donation for the purposes herein specified.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That the Department of Public Works is authorized to accept the donation in the amount of $50,000 from Mapco Express, Inc., to aid in the modification of traffic signals at the intersection of Robinson Road and Merritt Street.

Section 2. That this Ordinance shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
