ORDINANCE NO. BL2016-164

An ordinance authorizing The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County to abandon an existing sewer main and manhole and to accept a new sewer main, manhole, and easements for property located at 970 Woodland Street (MWS Project No. 15-SL-305 and Proposal No. 2016M-005ES-001).

WHEREAS, the abandonment of approximately 236 linear feet of existing eight inch sewer main and manhole and the acceptance of approximately 236 linear feet of new eight inch sewer main, manhole and easements for property located at 970 Woodland Street is needed to construct project number 15-SL-305; and,

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Planning Commission approved mandatory referral No. 2016M-005ES-001 on January 26, 2016, for the abandonment and acceptance of said sewer mains, manholes, and easements.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County is authorized to abandon approximately 236 linear feet of existing eight inch sewer main and manhole and to accept approximately 236 linear feet of new eight inch sewer main, manhole and easements for property located at 970 Woodland Street, as shown below and on
Exhibit 1, which is attached hereto and incorporated by reference:

Section 2. The Directors of Water and Sewerage Services and Public Property Administration are authorized to execute such documents as may be necessary and appropriate to carry out the abandonment and acceptance authorized by this ordinance.

Section 3. Amendments to this legislation shall be approved by resolution.

Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
