ORDINANCE NO. BL2015-8

An ordinance authorizing The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County to abandon approximately 212 linear feet of existing water main and easement and to accept 232 linear feet of 10 inch water main with two fire hydrant assemblies for property located at 100 French Landing Drive, (MWS Project No. 15-WL-81 and Proposal No. 2015M-045ES-001).

WHEREAS, the abandonment of approximately 212 linear feet of existing water main and easement and the acceptance of 232 linear feet of 10 inch water main with two fire hydrant assemblies for property located at 100 French Landing Drive are needed to construct MWS Project No. 15-WL-81; and,

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Planning Commission approved mandatory referral No. 2015M-045ES-001 on August 27, 2015 for the abandonment and acceptance of said water mains, easement, and fire hydrant assemblies.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County is authorized to abandon approximately 212 linear feet of existing water main and easement and to accept 232 linear feet of 10 inch water main with two fire hydrant assemblies for property located at 100 French Landing Drive, as shown below and on Exhibit 1, which is attached hereto and incorporated by reference:

Section 2. The Directors of Water and Sewerage Services and Public Property Administration are authorized to execute such documents as may be necessary and appropriate to carry out the abandonment and acceptance authorized by this ordinance.

Section 3. Amendments to this legislation shall be approved by resolution.

Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
