ORDINANCE NO. BL2015-1294

An ordinance approving a parking agreement between the Metropolitan Government, acting by and through the Metropolitan Traffic and Parking Commission (“Metro”), and 511 Union Nashville, LLC, a Delaware Limited Liability Company (“511 Union”), for the use of up to 100 parking spaces for a fee in the Library Parking Garage (Proposal No. 2015M-019PR-001).

WHEREAS, Metro and 511 Union desire to enter into a parking agreement (the “Agreement”) wherein 511 Union leases up to one hundred (100) parking space from Metro within the Library Parking Garage, located at 151 Sixth Avenue, for the purpose of parking of passenger automobiles and/or light trucks; and,

WHEREAS, the Traffic and Parking Commission, which has the responsibility for the management of the Library garage, will review the attached Agreement for recommendation at its meeting on July 13, 2015; and,

WHEREAS, this Ordinance has been mandatorily referred to the Planning Commission pursuant to Section 11.505 of the Metropolitan Charter and has been assigned Proposal No. 2015M-019PR-001, which has been administratively reviewed and recommended for approval; and,

WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the Metropolitan Government to execute the Agreement.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That the Parking Agreement between the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Traffic and Parking Commission, and 511 Union Nashville, LLC, attached hereto, is hereby approved and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.

Section 2. That amendment to the Agreement shall be approved by resolution.

Section 3. This Ordinance shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
