ORDINANCE NO. BL2015-1289

An ordinance approving and authorizing the Director of Public Property, or his designee, to accept the donation of real property (known as Map 150-02 Parcels 286 & 288) for use to improve stormwater flow at High Rigger Drive (Proposal No. 2015M-007PR-001).

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Department of Water and Sewerage Services wishes to improve flooding at the terminus of High Rigger Drive; and,

WHEREAS, pursuant to the terms of the special warranty deed attached to this ordinance as Exhibit 1 and incorporated herein, David B. Taylor proposes to donate real property in Davidson County (the "Property") to the Metropolitan Government; and,

WHEREAS, this land would be used to improve the flow of water around High Rigger Drive; and,

WHEREAS, acceptance of the donation of the Property will benefit the citizens of Davidson County by enhancing the quality and availability of recreational opportunities in Davidson County;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That the Director of Public Property, or his designee, is hereby authorized to execute the documents necessary to effectuate the donation of real property in Davidson County described in Exhibit 1, attached hereto and incorporated herein, from David B. Taylor, to the Metropolitan Government.

Section 2. That this ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
