ORDINANCE NO. BL2015-1149

An ordinance authorizing The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County to abandon approximately 1,240 linear feet of sewer main and easement and to accept a new manhole and 30 linear feet of 12 inch DIP sewer main for various properties located along George L Davis Boulevard, 12th Avenue North, and Church Street, (MWS Project No. 15-SL-11 and Proposal No. 2015M-026ES-001).

WHEREAS, the abandonment of approximately 1,240 linear feet of existing sewer main and easement and the acceptance of a new manhole, and 30 linear feet of 12 inch DIP sewer main for various properties located along George L Davis Boulevard, 12th Avenue North and Church Street are needed to construct project number 15-SL-11; and,

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Planning Commission approved mandatory referral No. 2015M-026ES-001 on April 28, 2015, for the abandonment and acceptance of said sewer mains, manhole, and easement.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County is authorized to abandon approximately 1,240 linear feet of sewer main and easement and to accept a new manhole and 30 linear feet of 12 inch DIP sewer main and for various properties located along George L Davis Boulevard, 12th Avenue North, and Church Street, as shown on Exhibits 1 and 2, which are attached hereto and incorporated by reference.

Section 2. The Directors of Water and Sewerage Services and Public Property Administration are authorized to execute such documents as may be necessary and appropriate to carry out the abandonment and acceptance authorized by this ordinance.

Section 3. Amendments to this legislation shall be approved by resolution.

Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
