ORDINANCE NO. BL2015-1118

An ordinance authorizing The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County to abandon approximately 51 linear feet of 18 inch DIP sewer main and a portion of easement, to accept 385 linear feet of 10 inch DIP water main and two fire hydrant assemblies, and to accept 21 linear feet of eight inch sanitary DIP sewer for property located at 6834 Charlotte Pike, (MWS Project Nos. 15-WL-16 and 15-SL-15 and Proposal No. 2015M-021ES-001).

WHEREAS, the abandonment of approximately 51 linear feet of 18 inch DIP sewer main and a portion of easement, the acceptance of 385 linear feet of 10 inch DIP water main and two fire hydrant assemblies, and the acceptance of 21 linear feet of eight inch sanitary DIP sewer for property located at 6834 Charlotte Pike are needed to construct project numbers 15-WL-16 and 15-SL-15; and,

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Planning Commission approved mandatory referral No. 2015M-021ES-001 on March 26, 2015, for the abandonment and acceptance of said sewer and water mains, easement, and fire hydrants.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County is authorized to abandon approximately 51 linear feet of 18 inch DIP sewer main and a portion of easement, to accept 385 linear feet of 10 inch DIP water main and two fire hydrant assemblies, and to accept 21 linear feet of eight inch sanitary DIP sewer for property listed below and shown on Exhibit 1, which is attached hereto and incorporated by reference:

Section 2. The Directors of Water and Sewerage Services and Public Property Administration are authorized to execute such documents as may be necessary and appropriate to carry out the abandonment and acceptance authorized by this ordinance.

Section 3. Amendments to this legislation shall be approved by resolution.

Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
