ORDINANCE NO. BL2015-1113

An ordinance authorizing The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County to replace approximately 2,520 feet of six inch C.I.P. public water main with 12 inch D.I.P. and to accept approximately 1,150 linear feet of 12 inch D.I.P. public water main and easement for property located at 719 Thompson Lane, (MWS Project No. 15-WG-0131 and Proposal No. 2015M-016ES-001).

WHEREAS, the replacement of approximately 2,520 feet of six inch C.I.P. public water main with 12 inch D.I.P. and the acceptance of approximately 1,150 linear feet of 12 inch D.I.P. public water main and easement for property located at 719 Thompson Lane is needed to construct project number 15-WG-0131; and,

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Planning Commission approved mandatory referral No. 2015M-016ES-001 on March 10, 2015, for the abandonment and acceptance of said water mains and easement.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County is authorized to replace approximately 2,520 feet of six inch C.I.P. public water main with 12 inch D.I.P. and to accept approximately 1,150 linear feet of 12 inch D.I.P. public water main and easement for property listed below and shown on Exhibit 1, which is attached hereto and incorporated by reference:

Section 2. The Directors of Water and Sewerage Services and Public Property Administration are authorized to execute such documents as may be necessary and appropriate to carry out the replacement and acceptance authorized by this ordinance.

Section 3. Amendments to this legislation shall be approved by resolution.

Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
