ORDINANCE NO. BL2015-1065

An ordinance amending Section 3.52.010 of the Metropolitan Code pertaining to pay plan worksheets submitted to the Metropolitan Council.

WHEREAS, Section 3.52.010 of the Metropolitan Code provides that worksheets of each pay plan of the metropolitan government shall be submitted to the metropolitan council for consideration; and

WHEREAS, the information required to be included in the worksheets fails to accurately describe the changes being proposed, and fails to provide helpful insight into each pay plan submitted to the council; and

WHEREAS, the Department of Human Resources is prepared to submit different information that will permit a thorough understanding of proposed changes.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. Section 3.52.010 of the Metropolitan Code is hereby amended by deleting all sections contained therein and substituting with the following new provisions:

The worksheets of each pay plan of the metropolitan government shall be submitted to the metropolitan council for its study and consideration at least fifteen days prior to the time that the pay plan shall be acted upon and such worksheets shall, at a minimum, summarize the changes being made to the pay plan and describe implementation and proposed effective dates. Additional information requested by Council Members or staff shall be provided as soon as practical prior to the time that the pay plan shall be acted upon.

Section 2.This Ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
